(10) Field Technician/Construction – Job

Field Technician/Construction - As a Construction Materials Testing [CMT] field technician
you will be involved with field observation, testing, sampling and inspection
of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt and structural steel
placement. Will perform routine field
and/or laboratory tests and assist in more complex tasks, as required. You may be involved with calculations and
data reduction of test results, drafting and other administrative duties, as
required. Daily communication is
required with site contractors, other technicians and project managers. No experience required, company will train
candidates in our methodology to document findings in accordance with accepted
engineering practice, but you should have aptitude, interest and an
understanding of construction practices and procedures.
Work
locations will be construction sites throughout counties in Maryland, i.e.,
Prince George's, Montgomery, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, and etc. These are full-time positions; salary is
$11.00 - $17.00 per hour depending on experience and will be discussed with
qualified candidate.
All Candidates Must Meet The Following
Minimum Requirements:
High School
Diploma or GED required. Must be mature,
dependable, have a positive attitude, and able to lift at least 60-80 lbs. Must be able to bend, reach overhead, move,
shake, twist, and stoop. Must have a
valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance. Strong
oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate in English. Ability to read maps, follow directions, and
interpret engineering and construction plans.
Must be able to successfully complete the pre-employment drug testing
and background check.
